IRVINE, CALIF – March 2, 2009 – Strategy Companion Corporation, a leading provider of Business Intelligence software for
the Microsoft SQL Server database platform, announced today its new "Pervasive BI without the Pervasive Costs" enterprise pricing
model for new customers which includes no cost for end user licenses.
"Industry research shows that the traditionally high costs associated with Business Intelligence solutions have been a significant
obstacle to enterprise-wide BI deployment. We wanted to lower the cost of large-scale deployments, as well as the traditionally high
cost of entry. So, along with no charge for end users, we have introduced a licensing model which allows companies of all sizes to
make a minimal investment in order to begin realizing the benefits of SQL Server Business Intelligence immediately. Microsoft's
aggressive pricing on the back end with SQL Server has changed the dynamics of the overall BI market, and our no-charge-for-end-users
pricing now makes it possible for companies to implement wide-scale, pervasive BI deployments at a fraction of the cost of traditional
BI solutions", said Bob Abernethy, Strategy Companion SVP & GM.
The new pricing model includes licensing costs only for Report Designers, who create the reports that others use. Report Designers can be
either IT people or non-technical business users. The end users who consume these reports and dashboards have access to Analyzer's powerful
analytics, reporting, and dashboard capabilities – at no charge. Report Designer licenses start at US $7,700 for one, with lower costs at
higher quantities, and an unlimited number of Report Designer licenses available for $57K per production instance. Analyzer provides a
true 100% zero-footprint web browser client, and also supports SaaS (single or multi-tenant) and OEM deployments in addition to on-premises
enterprise BI.
