Q 1 What are the various types of reporting and analytical solutions and views provided by Analyzer?
 
Analyzer allows you to create interactive analytical reports which contain multiple components such as pivot tables, charts, data source viewers, scorecards, dashboards, intelligent maps, tree maps, web pages, MS Reporting Services Reports, and more. You can show and work with dimensions, measures, named sets, and Key Performance Indicators, as well as the underlying RDBMS-based data.
 
Q 2 Which browser types and versions are supported by Analyzer?
 
We support Internet Explorer versions 6 and above
 
Q 3 What reporting views come preconfigured with the product? Does it support simple parameter driven list reports, single and nested cross tabular views?
 
The components listed in the Response to Question 1 above come preconfigured with Analyzer. It does support parameter-driven reports through integration with MS Reporting Services. You can also pass parameters to Web pages which can be included in an Analyzer report. Analyzer also supports both single and nested cross-tabular views.
 
Q 4 Which features of Microsoft Analysis Services & Reporting Services are leveraged by the product?
 
Analyzer supports virtually all of the new BI features introduced in Analysis Services 2005, including: UDM, KPIs, MDX scripting, built-in analytical functions such as Time Intelligence, attribute-based dimensions, support for new dimension types, measure groups, perspectives, security control, and multiple language support. We support integration of Reporting Services reports inside an Analyzer report, with the ability to pass parameters to Reporting Services.
 
Q 5 Is there an Open API to customize the UI?
 
Yes, there is a complete set of Web Services which our OEM customers use to customize the UI.
 
Q 6 What are the various types of Advanced Data Visualization provided by Analyzer?
 
Analyzer provides a complete set of advanced visualizations. To help users better understand the data in a pivot table, you can use the following pivot-table based advanced visualizations: 80/20 Rule, Top/Bottom Rules, Data Bars, Color Gradients, Icon Sets, and Alerts.

You can also very easily create a variety of advanced visualizations external to the pivot table using the following comprehensive set of chart types, most of which are available in 2D and 3D versions: Column Charts, Bar Charts, Line Charts, Pie Charts, Area Charts, Point Charts, Bubble Charts, XY Scatter Charts, Scatter Bubble Charts, Radar Charts, Pareto Charts, Pyramid Charts, Funnel Charts, Histogram Charts, Box Plot Charts, Range Charts, Stock Charts, and Candlestick Charts.

Other popular types of advanced visualizations are our Heat Maps and Intelligent Maps.
 
Q 7 Can users export a report?
 
User can easily export the entire report or a single pivot table to Excel 2003 or Excel 2007. In addition, users can also schedule a report to be delivered to their email account (ex. Microsoft Outlook).

Where is the meta-data for reports stored and how is it managed by users?

 

Analyzer meta-data is stored in SQL Server (2000, 2005 or 2008). It is managed automatically by Analyzer for users when they create or modify a report.

 
Q 9 Does the product support SOAP & Web Services to query reports and extract information?
 
The OEM version of Analyzer supports a complete set of Web Services which are used to query reports, extract information, and more.
 
Q 10 Can reports be embedded in 3rd party applications and if so how?
 
Yes, Analyzer reports can be embedded into external applications either by using our provided Web Services or by delivering the Analyzer reports via SharePoint Server 2007.

Many OEM Partners like WebTrends (http://www.webtrends.com/Products/WebTrendsVisitorIntelligence.aspx) have fully integrated our solution in their products.
